The Professional Interior Design Course has given me an incredible foundation in interior design and has armed me with essential business skills and insights into the UK market. It has truly transformed my perspective

I am thrilled to be able to apply what I have learned and continue to grow and develop as a designer. I have also started taking on some commissioned work on the side, which has been a great opportunity to refine my skills further and build my portfolio.

Better yet, I had and still have access to some of the industry's leading designers for genuine feedback and advice - of which I received plenty!

I am currently working on decorating and furnishing 18 modern apartments, which will be marketed as short-term lets in York. It is a high-spec modern development, and each apartment must be individually decorated. It is a very exciting project.

The Professional Interior Design Course has allowed me to build a solid basis to create my business and start in this industry. My work was recently featured in Sovereign Magazine as part of a 2 edition feature on women entrepreneurs in Switzerland.

A few months after I had graduated and received my Diploma of Professional Interior Design from the British College of Interior Design, my company, The Room Boutique, won the 'Best Show Home' award at the 2021 Home Staging Association Awards in our selected category.

I hadn’t expected to be developing my own business in interior design, but that’s where I am. My business will trade as ‘Tactile Interiors’, which will be my life once our house is finished and fully furnished.

I rebranded my business to Damp-Mould Consultation and Interior Designer - a unique service. By having an online appearance, growing my website platform, and updating social media, both previous and new customers will have the opportunity to gain from this service.

Fast forward 12 months, and I have successfully landed my dream role as a stager with Dressing Rooms Home Staging, an award-winning staging company in Yorkshire.

It is a great feeling when one can put the British College of Interior Design seal of approval on your business sites. A clear indication of success and achievement.

My first client knew I was a beginner and he was so impressed with my level of professionalism and detail that he is now a repeat customer.

I have completed three paid projects since graduating and looking forward to building on this success.

Since completing my course it has given me the confidence to gain a couple of clients which I am working with at present and loving it.

Thanks to the College I have had the confidence to complete a few projects whilst studying, and since graduating I have set up my own freelance interior design business ... specialising in residential interior design.

I have completed two multi-occupancy interior design projects, and I am now working on my third residential project.

I have never looked back, as pursuing this training has opened so many doors for me through a career change, having my own business, working the hours that suit me and meeting creative designers.

I have become more confident, and I know now that if I pay attention to the project's important details and communication, the result of my work will delight clients.

The course has given me all the tools I needed to do succeed, from teaching me how to meet a brief to keeping track of the costings for a project. It covers professional practice for interior designers and I feel well equipped for the future.

I have opened my own shop in Geneva, Switzerland. Tempo D’éco sells sustainable furniture and ecologically responsible products from European designers and producers.

It was thanks to this course that I felt motivated to create Lacreate... During the course, I did some work, and the last one was a guest house for a client in Huambo (Angola). In this project, I deposited all my knowledge and passion for interior design and architecture.

I have now completed a number of residential projects from luxurious high end elegant homes to more relaxed beach side residences in Jersey, and sharp contemporary apartments.

Since completing the course, I have participated in designing the Addis Ababa International Airport VIP terminal, Ethiopian Airlines business class and other lounges, office spaces for insurance companies, real estate offices and a 5 star hotel with a luxurious spa.

The course has given me the tools to confidently take on a project from concept design to installation.

My company has been entrusted to handle a lot of high end projects for private residential homes, religious homes, blue chip companies, and government premises. Our biggest single cheque grossed over 50 million naira (approximately £120,000)!

Currently, I am working as a design consultant in a retail furniture and building construction firm. I got the job right after I graduated from the course.

I have been able to advise people and professionals on a number of areas of design. Not only is my opinion valued as a result of doing this course, but I have gained a new dimension of confidence in myself.
