As a designer, a good skill to practice is being observant of your surroundings. When you see something that sparks your imagination, just snap a photo or write a note. Taking inspiration from places other than the interior design world, such as the colour scheme from a street mural, is likely to result in more original designs.

I was thrilled to be asked to take on a full house colour consultation - a paid job for a 'real' client … I rose to the challenge and found the entire process flowed relatively easily with the help of all the various course notes.

I have been making professional floor plans and 3D visualisations for quite some time. My graphic background and photography experience eventually led me to the field of interior design. I was looking for something with which I could bundle, connect and expand the separate elements I offer my clients.
The hands-on projects helped me build confidence, and the expert guidance from instructors made learning both enjoyable and practical.
