I have always loved decorating and styling rooms, and over the years, everyone who visited my home often commented on how beautiful, modern, and thoughtfully styled it was. I also used to help friends and family restyle their homes, move furniture around, and find better ways to arrange their rooms, without even realising how much I enjoyed it. Looking back over the years, I have started to realise that perhaps this has always been my calling.
I chose to study with the British College of Interior Design because I wanted to take something that had always been a passion of mine and develop it into a professional career. I wanted to learn the correct skills, understand the design process properly and, most importantly, gain the confidence to take that passion seriously and build something of my own.
I loved learning how to take an idea and develop it into a complete interior design concept, from the initial vision through to the smallest details. I especially enjoyed discovering how colour, materials, furniture, lighting and space planning can completely transform the way a room feels.
The assignments were challenging, but in the best possible way. They pushed me to be creative, pay attention to detail and develop my confidence as a designer. I also found them much easier to approach because the College provided so many helpful examples, explanations and useful information throughout the course, which gave me a clear understanding of what was expected and helped guide me through each assignment.
The British Interior Design College gave me the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills to begin my career as an interior designer. The tutors were incredibly supportive and encouraging throughout my journey.
I have recently launched my own interior design business, Anina Luxury Residential Interiors, specialising in luxury residential interiors, and I’m very excited about what the future holds. I have also created Instagram, Facebook and TikTok pages where I’ll share my work, projects and journey as I continue to build my business.
My goal is to keep growing as a designer, work with my first clients and create beautiful, meaningful homes. I’m really excited to continue learning and developing and to see where this new chapter takes me.
