I have never looked back, as pursuing this training has opened so many doors for me through a career change, having my own business, working the hours that suit me and meeting creative designers.
I was looking for an exit strategy from my previous roles in the caring profession, where I had been for over 30 years.
I have always enjoyed working with art, craft, colours, and interior design. I decided to embark on training with the British College of Interior Design, as it enabled me to work at my pace and provided the fundamentals for setting up an interior design business, which I have since achieved.
I was so glad that I took this step. The course was well structured, clear, and packed with helpful links to various suppliers, websites, and books to enhance my learning.
I always had access to an experienced tutor who was approachable and responsive to any queries promptly, providing great constructive feedback.
Going through the course was so addictive that I completed it in about eight months, as opposed to the 12-month timeframe provided.
While I had many years of practical experience as an interior designer, BCID opened my eyes to the theoretical side, promoting my understanding of styles, colours, spatial awareness, and floor planning.
The icing on the cake was to be rewarded with a diploma!
I have never looked back, as pursuing this training has opened so many doors for me through a career change, having my own business, working the hours that suit me and meeting creative designers.
I am proud to be able to incorporate my professional caring background with my interior design experience, providing a holistic approach to my work to enhance not only my clients' space but their overall well-being.
I would recommend BCID.
