Having had a keen interest in interior design for many years, I decided I wanted to explore my interest further by learning the basics of turning an average home into something special. I was eager to learn how to choose colour schemes and select furniture/fabrics that would complement those colours. I was also keen to learn about the business side of taking on commissions for clients, as ultimately, this was my end goal. I had so many questions but lacked guidance and inspiration, which I found quite frustrating. This led me to search for interior design courses online. I required a flexible course that would fit around my full-time job. I stumbled upon the British College of Interior Design and having read the course details and the vast amount of topics it covered, I decided this was the one for me.
I opted to have my tutorials sent to me every two weeks. The tutorials are informative and descriptive, which motivated me and gave me the confidence to take the next steps into a career as an interior designer. The course material is nicely laid out and kept my attention. I compare it to reading a good book that you don't want to put down! Each module covers a different topic leaving you thirsty for more. I have asked a few questions along the way and have always received a prompt in-depth response from my tutor, which I found really helpful.
