In the 6 years since completing the course, I have participated in designing the Addis Ababa International Airport VIP terminal, Ethiopian Airlines business class and other lounges, different office spaces for insurance companies, real estate offices and a 5 star hotel with a luxurious spa.
I had made a decision that I wanted to become an interior designer but with my limited experience I really wanted to develop my knowledge to ensure I could be successful. Due to a serious lack of interior design school in Ethiopia, I searched for online courses and found the course offered by the British Interior Design College. The course looked interesting and affordable.
I learned the key principles of design and this knowledge has provided me with the skills required to undertake any interior design project. The course was not simply theory of interior design but practical too. Throughout the course I also learnt about client relations and dealing with architects and tradespeople.
Being able to communicate with my tutor and the team at the College with any questions (even after completing the course) and receiving feedback and responses in a timely manner has been excellent.
I quit working for an international organisation and started my own interior design business with full confidence and I am proud to say that in the 6 years since completing the course, I have participated in designing the Addis Ababa International Airport VIP terminal, Ethiopian Airlines business class and other lounges, different office spaces for insurance companies, real estate offices and a 5 star hotel with a luxurious spa.
The Professional Interior Design Course exceeded my expectations in many regards and it gave me the confidence to start my own interior design firm. I have become my own boss and even have 4 permanent employees. I couldn’t have done so without the British Interior Design College. Thank You!
