I had been working as a 'hobby' interior designer and renovator for years and when I (finally) decided to make a business out of it. I looked to the British College of Interior Design to give me a better credential. What I didn't realise, was how much more I would get from it!
The course helped me to be able to express what I can see and imagine in my head so that my clients had more to go on than blind trust. There were also very prudent logistical and legal information which I was previously unaware of or unclear about, as well as fun and informative insiders’ information.
I loved my tutor’s helpful and humorous approach as I could really relate well to him. Also, the entire college was very helpful with my many, many questions.
I opened my own business Shirley’s Girl and I specialise in Room Whispering. The term started as a fun way to explain to people how I was able to create beautiful, interesting and really comfortable/feel-good rooms, but the more I said it the more I understood, it IS what I do! I help not only rooms to shine, but their people too! My work as recently featured in Sovereign Magazine as part of a 2 edition feature on women entrepreneurs in Switzerland.
I would very much recommend learning with the British College of Interior Design!
